Fletcher Industries came to us in hopes of receiving a total brand revitalization. Like most of our clients, they were already doing high-quality work with high-quality products and services. They just needed help creating a brand that matched that success.

The Problem

Fletcher Industries is in the business of designing and manufacturing solutions for industry. The previous look of their I.D. was dated. It lacked the gravitas worthy of a manufacturer whose products are made on the factory floor with big machines operated by skilled machinists. The mark, with its light grey swirling swooshes, was a little too vague. The all-lowercase type felt a little light and delicate and didn’t do much to reflect Fletcher’s brand.

Our Solution

Design. Make. Support. Be bold. Leverage the dark red to make a stronger statement. Ditch lowercase type with lots of space for a bolder, darker, and stronger representation. The shape inside the red circle represents one of Fletcher’s staple offerings, a spool made for the braiding, twisting, and winding of ropes and wire. We introduced a new tagline to support further what is truly at the core of the brand.

The Fletcher Industries website needed an update that showed the global manufacturing world what they are capable of. We used the new branding as a foundation to tell a new story about a 170-year-old company.
